Jack Thompson was a Bexleyheath Club member who was a master at building, rebuilding and maintaining British 4-stroke trials bikes of the 1960s. After he died in 1990, the Sidcup Club decided to name a British Bikes Trial to be held at Canada Heights in his honour. The trial has taken place each year since then.
